Potential.

I can’t really show you any of the knitting I’m working on at the moment. One is a gift, another is a test knit, and then there’s a couple of projects that I haven’t yet cast on for but can’t quite talk about yet, and that’s really all my brain can handle at this moment, so I have no progress photos. I can, however, show you all of the potentials. Just assume that all links, unless otherwise noted, lead to Ravelry.

Cascade 220 Superwash in this super yummy gold color that I just had to have when I saw it will eventually turn into a Berkshire Dolman Sweater (KnitScene Fall 09).

This GORGEOUS merino/tencel blend of laceweight by Tri’Coterie will eventually (hopefully sooner rather than later) turn into a Dayflower Scarf. I wanted a nice, open lace pattern that wasn’t a shawl and I found that one on Ravelry. This yarn is so soft, but for the record, I think I hate winding laceweight. It takes forever.

A future blanket

This is more Cascade 220, but non-superwash this time. I have this great plan to make a blanket for myself. I will turn 30 at the end of next year, and so the plan is to crochet two blocks a month, starting this September (being 15 months before my birthday, 15 x 2 = 30 blocks). Hopefully I’ll like it and it will end up being an heirloom-type project that future generations will be guilted into keeping forever. Assuming there will ever be future generations. I haven’t picked out exactly which crochet block patterns I’ll be using, but I am perusing my 200 Crochet Blocks book for inspiration.

Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy

Ah yes, the Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy for my Elemental Boatneck (Interweave Knits, Spring 2009). I need to free up the needles that I need to use for the ribbing! That would require finishing one of the handspun socks, which I am currently not working on because they are not on a deadline.

Yarn Love

This will eventually be a cowl. It’s Yarn Love’s Charlotte Bronte yarn in the Bella colorway. I don’t have a pattern picked out for it yet, and I may end up making one up as I go. That’s always a good plan, right?

This post is mostly for me, so that I remember what I have plans for and don’t go signing myself up to knit more than I can handle. Hopefully it will work!
