Do you think that “train case” could come to take the place of “basket case” in our idioms? As in, how crazy would a woman have to be to think that a train case can help her organize her knitting projects?
Hey, you never know. It could work.
I picked up this sweet vintage train case at a crafts show this weekend (there were crafts there, but there were also other little booths, many of which had vintage items). I brought it home and promptly thought “well, what am I going to do with this?” And then I realized that I could use it in place of the giant brown bag and a few small brown bags and put all of my WIPs in it. (See yesterday’s post on organization.)
It’s pretty roomy, and it’s holding the few WIPs I had stashed by my chair quite well, and hopefully this will help me keep on top of my number of WIPs. If they can’t fit in the case, I have to finish them. Right?
Look, I can dream.
And I figure, while I’m here, I’ll include a photo of my mom’s cardigan, in progress. This is sleeve number 2!
What sort of organizational tricks do you have to keep your knitting or crocheting “under control”?
