Just a few snapshots from my new apartment! I took these over the weekend.
I love the light that comes through in the morning. I will need to replace this view with curtains sooner rather than later, but it’s still lovely.
The one and ONLY electrical outlet in the bathroom.
Yep. It’s in that light. Above the mirror. Confession: I’m a little afraid to use it.
Kitchen cabinet. This one has a slide out drawer!
I think there are five different patterns of contact paper in the kitchen. I love them all.
The original outlets are only two-pronged. Some of them have these adapters; they’re not wonderfully placed, and I have to unscrew the outlet plates to move them around.
This was my solution to fitting all of my clothes in my closet with breathing space (they all fit, but they’re cramped without). This lasted all of 12 hours, before the hanging rod broke. Rethinking this.
Through the front window at night.
I bought myself flowers at the farmers market. The place needed some flowers.
I put the beach towel on the floor so I could organize the kitchen in relative comfort. She decided it was her place.
Well, didn’t you just put it out for her to sleep on? I mean, come on… π
Your place looks lovely π I has a jealous
Everything in the house is actually hers. I just keep it relatively clean and make sure there’s food in a bowl. π
Absolutely charming! I love your kitchen contact paper too!!
Thanks!
I’ve been itching to see photos of your, I mean, Vera’s new place! Thank you for sharing.
It looks like it has a lot of character; I’m a total sucker for old world charm. I start salivating when I see built-in bookshelves. Love the windows. What floor are you on? Too bad the hanging rod broke!
I hope you settle in nicely.
ppc ^_^
I took photos of the built-in shelves that make up the pantry and are also in the closets for you, but I haven’t had a chance to upload them. π
I’m on the top floor, but really there’s only a garden-level apartment below mine, so it’s the main floor.
I’m sure the bathroom outlet must be safe to use, but it still freaks me out!
p.s. I’d be afraid to use the bathroom outlet too.
It’s adorable!
The outlet situation does kind of suck, though. I’m sure you’ll come up with a good solution!
Here’s hoping! Right now the microwave is living on the rolling cart, and I switched one of the adapters (in the dining room, because who wants to have a giant plug sticking out of the wall right there?!) into the kitchen (where someone had PAINTED OVER the plate… I’m very angry with previous tenants).
Congrats on your new place!
Thank you!
the first apartment I had with my husband didn’t even have an electrical outlet in the bathroom. I had to run an extension cord from the bedroom. π The place looks so quaint!
I may end up doing something like that if the overhead plug continues to slightly terrify me. I’m sure it’s fine.. I just.. I don’t know.
