Last week on the web

I hope you all had a good weekend! I was pretty productive, both in terms of being an Adult and cleaning (blech) and also making a lot of knitting progress. I also managed to sleep funny or something last night so now my neck is tweaked. Or maybe it was just the staring at stitches most of the weekend. Who knows.

Some cool things that happened last week on the web:

Creators
Sheri at the Loopy Ewe wrote a spotlight post on Designer Martina Behm. Martina’s the design mind behind Hitchhiker and many other awesome patterns. There’s a coupon code for a discount on one of Martina’s patterns in that blog post too!

Hot Pink Socks posted a review of Your Mom Knits. Mastermind Erica has a great eye for color and has created some beautiful yarns—I have quite a few in my stash but have yet to knit with them for some unknown reason. One of my favorite things about Erica’s business is that she responds so enthusiastically to customer requests. A few weeks ago I suggested she should dye up some Vikings inspired yarn, and in seemingly no time, she had six colorways worked up (and someone may have ordered about 5 skeins and will soon have a Stoneybrook in Floki::cough::). There’s a giveaway on that post as well, so go that out.

Patterns
Quince and Co launched Shawl week, a collection of patterns from various designers worked up in Quince yarn. There are some stunners, and a few more to be released soon!

Have you worked up any home décor? I haven’t done much knitting for the home myself, but Holla Knits released their Home Collection, five designs to knit to liven up your home. Be sure to follow the blog tour for giveaways, and subscribe to Holla Knits if you haven’t already.

Yarn
Yellowstone by Stitch Sprouts recently launched, and having seen the yarn in person, I agree with everything said in that write up. I don’t know how widely distributed it is just yet, but if you can get your hands on it, let me know how it knits up for you!
