Last week on the web

I’ve been on vacation and haven’t been checking the internet as much, but there are some cool things that happened last week on the web!

Knits in the News
Buzzfeed rounded up useful projects for summer knitting. I maintain summer is just the time to stock up on sweaters for winter, but to each their own.

There’s another article about how knitting is good for the brain. There’s even an eBook about therapeutic knitting, which is awesome, because if you pick an easy enough project, you might be able to therapeutically knit while reading said eBook.

Creators
Andi Satterlund of Untangling Knots wrote a guest post at Rock + Purl, covering what designers can blog about when they can’t show off their in-progress pieces. I think these are some great ideas for craft bloggers of any persuasion, designer or gift knitter or just a blogger who wants to write and can’t think of things!

Patterns
Allyson Dykhuizen is a crafty fox, she is, and she’s come up with a brilliant way to let you have a say in the 2015 Holla Knits Special Collection theme. I love seeing what designers churn out for Allyson’s calls, so I can’t wait to see what next year’s special collection looks like!

Last year’s collection, all crochet!

Did I miss anything? Let me know in the comments!
