Friday Finds

I liked doing last week’s edition of Friday Finds, so I think I might make it a regular “feature.” If you have anything you’d like mentioned here, be sure to email me at threadpanda at gmail dot com.

  • Anthropologie recently released their new catalog, and as usual, it’s a pretty AMAZING in terms of layout and selection. I particularly love this sweater, which totally just looks like a cable knitting sampler gone off the rails.

  • I have no idea where this came from, I found it on Ravelry, but it’s a super cute way to reuse those solo gloves.

  • This little Snow Day Ornament kit from KnitPicks is TOO CUTE.

  • Glamour.com reports that Fair Isle sweaters are everywhere. You know a trend is going to be fun if it references The Big Lebowski.
  • Melissa Wehrle recently “guest-starred” on an episode of Never Not Knitting. I haven’t listened to it yet because as of my writing this, my computer was fighting with streaming media, but I can’t wait until it starts to behave, so I can give it a go.
  • Kristen over at The Knitting Kninja has just released a new pullover pattern, called Sunniva. The sweater itself is so pretty—nice and drape-y with simple embellishments—but what I really love is that Kristen’s been documenting the entire design process, so it’s great to be able to go back and see the different iterations of this pattern, as well as a peek inside a designer’s mind.
  • Your moment of zen, if you will:

This jaw-droppingly gorgeous shawl is absolutely phenomenal. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two-color brioche stitch worked to such perfection as it is here, with tonal-colored yarns creating a subtly shimmering effect.

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend.
