I lucked out and managed to get a ticket to see a sold out show last Friday by Kimbra and Gotye in Denver. (Thanks, Anastatia, if you’re reading this!) I’ve been a fan of Kimbra’s since I first saw her video for “Settle Down” months ago.
She’s an amazing and powerfully creative vocalist from New Zealand, a mere 22 years old and super tiny with a voice that projects and resonates across a filled theater.
You can find her album, Vows, streaming on players such as Grooveshark, and I plan on buying it when it’s released in the US on May 22. It’s fun and upbeat and displays a wide range of musical styles, the perfect thing to start a busy week.
I am so incredibly jealous! I stumbled across her music a few months ago, and I’ve loved everything I’ve seen of Kimbra. Have a blast!
