Not sure what’s happening? I… can’t remember how it happened exactly, but I came across the a Puff Stitch crochet scarf/cowl pattern and immediately fell in love. I babbled about it on Twitter, and Jacinta (@jacintillating) got on board and said the word “crochetalong” and thus, the Puffy CAL was born.

If you’re interested in joining us, official cast-on date is Friday, February 1. If you finish by Friday, March 1, and either email me a photo of your finished scarf or post it in the Ravelry group before March 2 (because I know all about trying to find time to photograph things), you will be eligible for prizes, if I can beg and plead with some people to donate some prizes.

Here’s a link to the Ravelry pattern page, and here’s the Tumblr post from which we’re taking inspiration. Follow the fun using the tag #puffyCAL on Twitter and Instagram.

I’m using Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage in this Alabaster colorway. I have no idea what size hook to use with this, but I’ll figure it out! It looks like a good number of people on Ravelry have used a 6 mm hook with this yarn—I’ll just have to see where that gets me!

  2. […] is likely to be just as tumultuous, but hopefully just as productive as well. We’ve got the Puff Stitch Scarf Crochetalong starting tomorrow and I have some other goals for the month! Just have to keep on […]
