Friday Finds

How to tell that the heat has melted my brain: I’ve decided that I’m going to finish my #26 page 44 Lopi sweater (what a sexy name) that I started in January (it had to sit in time out because I knit the sleeve cuff pattern too tight, couldn’t get my hand through it, and that, among other things, led to a breakdown, but we’re good now), AND knit a second Lopi sweater before I go to Iceland in September. Normally this would not be quite so crazy but I also have a shawl and at least one, maybe two, sweaters to knit for work projects before the middle of September (so, before I leave for Iceland).

Send coffee, and let me know about your most crazily ambitious plans in the comments (they don’t have to be knitting related, I just need to know that I’m not alone).

All project photos are taken from the individual Ravelry pattern pages unless otherwise noted. No copyright infringement intended.

Insane project on the needles: Using a ±400 yard black to white gradient with another skein of same wound the opposite way to make a fair isle vest. Total experiment–it might fail utterly–although, what I have so far (about 8″ from the bottom) is kinda awesome. (I’m cheating a bit, because the gray is too long.) I’ve had the idea, and the yarn, for about five years now.
